Apparently if you’re a musician, you are two times more likely to die earlier than you should.
The average age to become a famous musician is 25 years old. There is a 2.3% chance that you will die within 5 years after that. That is 0.4% more than if you’re in the army in Afghanistan for those 5 years (they have a 1.9% chance). Death for a musician in those first 5 years of stardom is also SEVEN times more likely in comparison to the every day person (their likelihood is 0.3%).
